Kello
2026
Kello Coffee House is a Kuwaiti café that opened in 2026. I designed a set of pieces for the brand, including posters, a bag, a tray, and enamel pins. They give Kello a warm, collectable, slightly retro world that suits a café built around lingering over a cup.
The posters are the brand's loudest voice. In the first, three teacups are stacked at a playful tilt on a saucer, each wearing the triangular Kello badge with "Coffee House" and "Kuwait 2026" beside it. Behind them, a deep maroon and cream checkerboard runs across the page like a café tablecloth or tiled floor, softened by a scalloped doily-style frame. The second poster swaps maroon for deep olive green and puts a moka pot at the centre, banded with the Kello wordmark, while upturned cups tumble in from the corners. Both use heavy grain on gradients, so the flat geometry gets warmth and depth. The two colourways keep the same structure and change the mood, with maroon feeling rich and cosy and green feeling fresh and calm, which gives the brand room to rotate through seasons and menus.
The merchandise carries that world off the wall. The roll-top bag is a deep burgundy, the colour of a good roast, printed with the wordmark and the line "Made for coffee enthusiasts, est. 2026". It is simple, practical and easy to carry. The enamel pins are the collectables, a moka pot, a gooseneck kettle, a portafilter and a takeaway cup with the Arabic name on its sleeve. They are finished in cream and chocolate brown on kraft cards, and they speak to the people who care about brewing equipment as much as the drink. Wearing one signals that you're part of the club.
