Clementine Labs
2025
The identity is built around a single large clementine, drawn in flat shapes with a speckled, risograph-like grain that gives it a tactile, printed quality. Beside it sits a cut slice, a blue stem and leaf, and a playful, swashy serif wordmark whose flourishes echo the curl of a fruit stem. The palette stays deliberately small: saturated orange and golden yellow against a deep cobalt blue, all resting on a warm cream. Orange carries the energy and the name, while blue brings the steadiness and trust that analytical work needs. Together they feel confident rather than corporate.
The services are expressed as a collection of stickers, which became the system's most distinctive idea. Each offering has its own badge, like the labels you find on fruit at a market: applied data science and statistical analysis, A/B testing and experimentation, survey and behavioral research, program, product and policy evaluation, AI and data strategy advisory, data and experimentation infrastructure consulting, and the development of AI powered tools and custom internal platforms. The shapes vary, from scalloped seals and stitched patches to pills, circles and a hexagonal label, and small details quietly nod to the work behind them. Clementines linked by a dotted line form a scatter plot, a target stands in for strategy, and a leaf sprouts from the A/B mark. The stickers can be scattered across the poster, as they are here, or peeled off and used independently on slides, reports, social media and merchandise, which keeps the brand flexible as the studio grows.
The result is a brand that treats rigorous research as something fresh and human. It is playful in its form but clear in what it offers, and it tells clients that behind the careful analysis is someone who cares about making the findings useful.
